Le Pandemonium - John Martin (17th - 18th Cent)
I had the pleasure of seeing this painting up close in the Louvre in Paris and it blew my mind. It is a depiction of the capital of Hell from Paradise Lost written by John Milton - Other works of John Martin are included below
Neuschwanstein Castle
Located in Bavaria and built by 'mad' Ludwig II, it is the inspiration for the Disney Sleeping Beauty castle
